SHARMANE'S YOUTH WORKSHOP
FIND ME! CLEANSE ME! TAKE ME THERE!
(A high school youth workshop presented by Sharmane)
“It’s funny how people try so hard to fit in with the crowd, when our true purpose in life is to stand out.” This new workshop presented by performing artist/speaker SHARMANE is a journey of spiritual self-discovery that combines the Catechism of the Catholic Church with illustrative examples of application in everyday life. Through this presentation, attendees will be introduced to three different topics that will assist them on becoming the “whole” person that God intended them to be.
FIND ME
(Getting to the heart of who you are!)
Topics include self-esteem, image perception, and examination of conscience…
CLEANSE ME
(Wash away my sin. Protect me from temptation. I long for your grace and forgiveness.)
Topics include peer pressure, teasing/bullying, and gossip/rumors…
TAKE ME THERE
(Be the difference!)
Topics include identifying your inner spirit/gifts/talents, discipleship, and community service…
This workshop was created as a half day program for high school/teenage youth, but it can also be used in a weekend retreat setting or a high school assembly program. The breakdown of this workshop for each topic presented will include the following:
SHARMANE opens with praise & worship music (10 minutes)
Introduction & Overview (5 minutes)
SHARMANE teaches about each topic using illustration techniques (20 minutes)
Students break into small groups for worksheets and discussion (15 minutes)
SHARMANE returns with a wrap up, song and related devotional or prayer (10 minutes)
Sharmane Adams is a Catholic singer, songwriter and speaker who lives her life as “a spiritual champion for faith and family”. She performs and speaks at numerous church events and conferences which she caters according to her audience whether it is a youth event, a women's retreat, a fund raising/benefit event or a family-friendly community event. Through these opportunities Sharmane hopes to open the eyes of your heart to God and to help YOU to find that “on-fire” feeling of faith.
